With winter upon us and being a democratic group, this was the 1st brunch starting at 9am instead of a 7am breakfast. It seemed such a more decent time to be up and out instead of 7am in the dark!

With Long Reef waters glistening in the background, we heard from our guest speaker Jen Dalitz from sphinxx.org.au about her upcoming book "Little Wins for Working Women" and lesson to be learnt.

As successful women we can be in danger of trying to do it all and wondering if we are not getting it all right. We can be lousy at asking for help and withdrawing from the community around us including networking and catching up for coffee with our friends. We can disconnect ourselves whilst trying to keep all the balls in the air instead of recognising the little achievements we make every day - whilst looking after our businesses, family and other commitments.

Men celebrate all their wins in work and family - we can take a leaf out of their book in learning not to make impulsive decisions when the going gets tough. Jen had interesting statistics on the difference of men and women negotiating styles with money.

Jen left us with a lot of thought provoking messages that was inspirational and grounding.
